Dan Maloney, Managing Director and Chief Compliance Influencer at UpgradeX, has over 20 years of U.S. DoD Supply Chain Management experience, most recently as the Director of Supply Chain Compliance for a $3 Billion division of a top 5 U.S. defense contractor. In that role, Dan was responsible for developing and managing corporate purchasing policies, staff training, oversight and responsibility of all Procure-to-Pay controls, ensuring the operating locations adhered to FAR/DFARS regulations, as well as maintaining DCMA approval status of the Purchasing Systems. Prior to that, Dan was the Director of Supply Chain for the company’s artillery division, responsible for nearly $200M in annual spend across 5 operating locations.
Dan has led or participated in approximately 2-dozen CPSRs during his career, all of which resulted in an approved status. Dan is considered a subject matter expert in regard to DoD Contactor Purchasing Systems, FAR and DFARS regulations pertaining to the Purchasing System, and general DoD subcontracting. Dan has a blended background in supply chain operations and management as well as compliance, giving him a unique perspective of how to continue to meet company goals and objectives while following the complex regulations and meeting Purchasing System requirements, traits that make him perfect for guiding and assisting DoD contractors with their CPSRs.
